Homoeopathic treatment for Hiccups and experiences:
When the diaphragm and the muscle that separates the chest from the abdomen, suddenly contracts then hiccups happens. When it happens, air is taken in, and then the voice box closes shut, which is what causes the "hic" sound. There are different types of hiccups, named after how long they last.
A 'regular' bout of hiccups can last up to 48 hours.

NUX VOMICA : It is a sanguine remedy for hiccup which are from eating star fruits, from overeating, from cold, or hot drinks.Helpful for hiccups with indigestion.Given when patient experiences a weight and pain in stomach. There is nausea and vomiting, nausea more in the morning after eating. Also given when vomiting and diarrhea associated with hiccups.
PHOSPHORUS
Treatment of hiccups are fully dependent on considering constitution of patient.
IGNATIA AMARA : Useful for hiccups from silent grief, shock, and disappointment.Excellent medicine for hiccups from smoking. Useful for hiccups with empty or bitter belching after eating and drinking. Helpful for hiccups with empty feeling at the epigastrium.
RATANHIA : Effective medicine for hiccups. There is violent hiccup which comes soon after eating , especially if he had been without food for a long time.Useful for hiccup which causes pain in stomach.There is long continued hiccup after dinner. °EXPERIENCE ON HICCUPS : My best experience on hiccups in treating a young girl of 12 years old, who has been suffering more than two months after experiencing severe diarrhoea. This patients had already been taken many treatments and medications but not found in any result. Even she couldn’t go to school. I was started her treatment on 10 August 2022 and are being continued upto 18 September 2022 in this regard. Now she is cured and no hiccups.
I have administrated her first Nux Vom 3X and lastly two doses of Phosphorus 30 as constitution of patient.
Another hiccups experience in 2007 while had to go hilly area of Bangladesh, Manikchhari under Khagrachhari district. I had to go there with a research assignment (infectious disease division-icddr,b) and was being tired as to move in hills by walking, thus I was hungry & thirsty and eaten star fruits(sweet taste) as of my wish .
